Rep. Okunjimi Odimayo, Member, House of Representatives for Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, has secured federal employment for no fewer than 10 constituents.

Odimayo made this known in a statement by his media aide, Mr Victor Adedeji, which was made available to journalists, on Monday in Okitipupa.

The lawmaker said that the beneficiaries, drawn from various communities in Okitipupa and Irele constituency, have been offered appointment letters by the federal agencies.

Odimayo, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Population Commission, said that the appointment was part of his efforts to reduce unemployment and facilitate human capital development in his constituency.

While congratulating the successful candidates, he reaffirmed his commitment to creating more employment opportunities, assuring others that efforts are underway to secure additional slots.

“I urge constituents to remain patient and supportive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises youth empowerment and economic growth.

“I reaffirm that employment creation remains a core part of my developmental agenda, alongside other initiatives spanning infrastructure, education, healthcare and community development.

“I promise that my leadership remain focused on delivering impactful representation that addresses the needs of the good people of Okitipupa/Irele constituency,” Odimayo said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Odimayo in August 2024 also facilitated employment for 20 constituents from Okitipupa and Irele federal constituency in government agencies.
