Video of Congressional Briefing on Atrocities Against Christians in Myanmar Released

Date:

01/16/2024 Myanmar (International Christian Concern) – The Chin Association of Maryland (CAM) has released a 5-minute video summarising the presentations from a Congressional Briefing that detailed the vicious acts the Tatmadaw military dictatorship carries out against Burmese Christians.

The Briefing was held on September 18, before the October 27 campaign that launched the current wave of intense fighting between Tatmadaw and minority ethnic groups and pro-democracy forces that still rages on today. This Briefing included several powerful speakers, including Commissioner Steven Schneck (USCIRF), Burmese pastors in America, and local Burmese Christians who had been victims of Tatmadaw’s persecution.

In the video, one brave Burmese mother and daughter talked about Tatmadaw’s deliberate bombing of their home, village, and local churches. The topics and actions covered in the Briefing are still being ruthlessly done by the Tatmadaw in this current civil war.
