03/27/23 When I first met Maria, who is featured in Chapter 3 of my new book The Whisper, she recalled, “God came in a thunderstorm of miracles.” Having lived through an intense period of persecution in Cuba, she also witnessed one of history’s greatest revivals.
The government actively tried to tear down the church by means of imprisonment, torture, and murder. Yet, as a leader in the church, Maria witnessed miracle after miracle as the Lord preserved the church and helped it flourish.
Jesus also came to earth in “a rain of miracles.” Similarly, the Jewish authorities and Roman officials attempted to squash the revival. However, across the past 2,000 years, these efforts have proved fruitless as we see time and time again that nothing can stand against the Lord’s plans.
