03/06/2024 Over the past couple decades, we have witnessed an anti-Christian genocide unfold in Nigeria at the hands of radical Islamists. However, with each year that ticks by, we have seen the Nigerian government’s reluctance to intervene and, for the most part, silence within the international community.
Last year, a US congressman advanced legislation to direct more attention toward the violence in Nigeria. Yet, another congressmen opposed it because the bill focused specifically on Christians.
This is the perfect example of why it can be so tough to move legislation along that supports persecuted communities. Please join us in prayer for believers in Nigeria as well as those who are boldly calling for justice in the halls of Congress.
