To foster stronger personal and professional connections with focus on communication in building fulfilling relationships the Bloom Up Conference 2025, convened by therapist and relationship coach Damilola Eric-Ojo, brought together relationship experts, professionals, and individuals at a conference, themed “Love Without Borders,”
Eric-Ojo, who is also founder of She Listens Therapy, said communication challenges have become increasingly prevalent in today’s society, while highlighting the need for intentional learning in communication, as effective connection is not innate but must be cultivated.
“We assume people naturally know how to communicate, but it is a skill that must be taught. My goal today is for attendees to leave with not just inspiration, but a clear understanding of how to elevate their relationships through communication, whether they are married, engaged, or single.”
In her keynote address, titled “Speak to Connect,” she outlined three key principles for effective communication: Authenticity, Active Listening, and Emotional Intelligence. The conference, hosted by Moyosore Eleso, featured several industry experts who addressed different aspects of relationship-building through communication and emotional intelligence.
Among them was Unyime-Ivy King, Chairman of Protection Plus Service, who spoke on uilding fulfilling relationships through communication and understanding; Mrs. Tosain Sanni, a Soul Prosperity Coach, discussed transforming mindsets for thriving relationships and personal success, while Mrs. Omotola Ade-Onojobi, an Emotional Intelligence Coach, explored the role of Emotional Intelligence in building lasting relationships.
