The Lagos State Health District 1, on Friday, inaugurated a newly renovated Primary Health Centre in Agege.

Dr Funmilayo Bankole, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District 1, applauded the Lagos State Government for investing on primary health care across the state.

Bankole urged the residents of Agege to make use of the new renovated facility.

“The Iloro Primary Health Care Center is well equipped and safe for pregnant women to deliver their babies and other health-related issues,” she said.

Bankole also appreciated other major stakeholders present at the commissioning, who played major roles in the renovation and facelift given to the health centre.

Dr Olufunmilayo Ayegbusi, the Medical Officer of Health Centre, Agege Local Government Area, said it was a laudable development in Agege and a plus to the health care infrastructure development in the communities.

” I am delighted to be part of this event, and I also want to urge members of the Agege Community to visit the centre often, especially on issues relating to maternal and child health care, “she said.

Ayegbusi urged the community members to prioritise their health conditions and ensure they got to check up from time to time.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Mr Gbolahan Owolabi-Dada, the Supervisory Councillor for Health, Agege Local Government Council, represented the chairman of the council.

Other major stakeholders and community members attended the inauguration.
