“It is very evident and you can attest to what am saying because we all live here and we know the efforts of major security stakeholders in keeping the state safe for residents.

The chairman lauded the commitment and dedication of officers and men of the Delta Police Command in policing the state, describing the command as a defender of the people.

He said the PCRC on its part has been a pillar of support to the police and commended the state commissioner of police, Mr. Olufemi Abaniwonda for his foresight and professionalism in the discharge of his duties.

“However, we should know that the job of security is everybody’s affair, and that is where the PCRC comes in. We help to bridge the gap between the police and the people.

“Our core mandate is to provide a support framework for the police to serve our people better.”
The chairman said the committee functions as an umbrella of the people to help the police work effectively by way of providing information and intelligence for effective policing in the state.

He enjoined residents in the state to show love and understanding in their relationship with the police and other security stakeholders in the state to enhance better policing operations.
