At a grand event, Gtext Homes, a global real estate firm honoured renowned businessman and founder of the Coscharis Group, Dr. Cosmas Maduka, by naming a street after him at their Jasper Gardenia Estate in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos last weekend.
The event, graced by notable figures, including the Onilekki of Lekki, Oba Olumuyiwa Ogunbekun, was marked by heartfelt tributes and reflections on. Maduka’s inspiring journey from humble beginnings to becoming a global business leader.
Managing Director of Gtext Homes, Farouk Usman, expressed the company’s motivation for honouring Dr Maduka. “This is to honour a man who embodies integrity and resilience. His journey of building a business against all odds aligns with the vision that birthed Jasper Gardenia Estate” Usman stated.
Chairman of Gtext Holdings, Dr. Stephen Akintayo, spoke on the profound impact Maduka’s story has had on aspiring entrepreneurs.
“Starting a business without capital, we drew inspiration from people like him. This honour is a way of celebrating his achievements and the role he has played in inspiring the next generation of business leaders,”he said.
Maduka, in his speech, reflected on his humble beginnings and the role integrity played in his success. He recounted how his uncle gave him ₦200 after six years of apprenticeship, which he used to start his business.
“Living a clean life and staying consistent in adding value will eventually make people seek you out,” he advised young entrepreneurs.
As part of the honour, Gtext Holdings also announced plans to dedicate a golf range to Maduka during the company’s 11th-anniversary celebration next year. During the event, Head of Sales at Gtext Homes, Martha Ojeh, enlightened the audience on the company’s real estate investment opportunities, highlighting how clients can generate passive income through land banking and property development.
A client who received her property key at the event praised Gtext Homes for their integrity and reliability. “I started small and spread my investment over the years. Today, it’s a reality,” she said.
